LIve Virtual Class(LVC)

Oracle University or OU(the more popular name) is undergoing a massive change I believe. Always known for the quality that it gives in the trainings , there are going to be some new enchancements in the format of it ,both for training and material. OU is introducing , Live Virtual Classroom(LVC) training format. This will be different from the standard training format which is in-person training or commonly known as ILT(Instructor Lead Training). The best part of this would be that you as a participant don’t need to travel anywhere to attend the class. You can sit where ever you are at the moment and can attend it. All you need is a good configuration computer ,connected to a good , high speed internet connection and Voila, you are all set. I am not yet sure how it will be accepted by the people but it looks like a good option for those who are not in the major cities where trainings do happen most of the time in any country. OU is known for being expensive and in addition to that, if there is travel and living expense to be incurred too by the person, it becomes a very costly affair. So in that prospective, its  a good effort. Let’s wait and watch how it actually works in the longer period of time. If you want to know more about it and/or want to register your self for a session of this format, you can visit, OU’s LVC home page over here,

This page does include a demo video explaining the LVC methodology also.

I just got this tweet from a blog  that OU is going Green, you can read the complete blog post here.

Well this was a LONG time request from the people that they wanted the books in the soft copy format. Though, I am not a big fan of this format but for those who wanted it, looks like a dream has come true.  I am more of a traditional kind of person who would lots of marking, writing notes over the book. And more over, I don’t like to read for a long time looking at computer screen so for me, this is not some thing which is very lucrative but surely, for masses, I guess it would appeal.

Cheers
